Typhoon Haiyyan was a super typhoon which formed six days prior before hitting landfall on the West Coast of the Philippines. GDP per capita is $7500, 90% of the population are devout Catholics, the Bohol earthquake happened a month prior. The typhoon hit the Philippines on the 8th of November 2013 at 4:48 in the morning.
